Exciting Progress Behind the Scenes at The Brig

Home » Updates » Exciting Progress Behind the Scenes at The Brig

Since officially purchasing The Brig, a huge amount of work has been happening behind the scenes to help move our community pub and hub project forward.

One of our first major priorities has been securing funding for a feasibility study. This is an important step in helping us understand what is possible for the building and how we can best create a sustainable, welcoming space for the whole community.

We are incredibly grateful to the Ewe Hill Windfarm Fund for their generous support in helping make this happen. Thanks to their funding, we have now begun the feasibility study process and appointed an architectural firm to carry out the work.

Over the coming weeks and months, the architects will be exploring ideas, possibilities, layouts and opportunities for the future of The Brig. While this stage will take a little time, it is an exciting milestone for the project. For the first time, we will start to see the vision for our community pub and hub truly brought to life.

In the meantime, there will be plenty happening within the community. We have lots of fundraising events, activities and opportunities planned for people to get involved, support the project and help shape the future of The Brig together. Community support is at the heart of everything we are trying to achieve, and every contribution – big or small – makes a difference.

We know many people are eager to see progress, and we want to thank everyone for their continued patience, encouragement and support. There is still a long road ahead, but things are very much moving forward behind the scenes.

We look forward to sharing more updates with you as the project develops!
